‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: Take a first look at Lucy Lawless’ character!

Are you ready to get a quick look at Lucy Lawless on “Agents of SHIELD“? Well, you’re in luck: We’ve got a first look at the actress in character below!

This image of Lawless’ Agent Isabelle Hartley was first posted by Marvel on their official website, and it doesn’t give away a whole lot of anything. What we know for the time being about this role is primary that she has some sort of past connection to Clark Gregg’s character of Phil Coulson, but it is not romantic. This is something that will get at least some play as we start to find out more and more about her.

The exciting thing about getting Lawless on this show, at least to us, is that you are bringing on at least one more person who you know has bona fide skills when it comes to being able to kick butt and take names. The show for the most part has avoided casting many big names so far to allow individual characters to shine on their own, but this is one booking that we have absolutely zero problems with … and hopefully, everyone else feels the same exact way.

The new season of “Agents of SHIELD” will premiere on ABC come Tuesday, September 23 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time (new timeslot), and hopefully we’ll have some more details about both Lawless and her role on the show before then. Until that point, we’ll just have to sit around and speculate a while longer.
