‘The Amazing Race Canada 2’ episode 8 preview: Who will be U-Turned in Paris?

For all of those who loved seeing “The Amazing Race Canada 2” out of the country this past episode, you are sure to love the fact that Tuesday, the show is heading to Paris! This is a location that we don’t see often on the American version these days, and there are opportunities for some great challenges themed around French cultures. Given the heavy French influence on parts of Canada, it makes sense that we would have two legs over there.

Just as important as the location, though, is what happens there in the context of a U-Turn. Two teams at most could be set back by this, and it is an opportunity to get rid of a huge threat. If we were a team, Pierre & Michel would right now be target #1. They speak French fluently, and thanks to that have an inherent advantage in this city. Natalie & Meghan have to be right there, as well; we know that they are Olympians and heroes, but they to date have been one of the best teams that we’ve ever seen.

Away from the U-Turn, it looks like there is going to be a great chase through some cafes, and some awesome scenery of the city. After the very somber leg last week in Normandy, which included a memorial to fallen Canadians, this is going to be a leg with a very different tone. The competitive juices will be flowing, and after one non-elimination, we’re sure that there will not be another so soon. Otherwise, we would be beyond bored.
