‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Charlie Hunnam’s next step in ‘Toil and Till’
Will Jax Teller be released from prison, or find a way to escape, during the “Sons of Anarchy” premiere? Given that we are looking at a 90-minute episode here, it is far to say that both have to be considered definite possibilities.
However, there’s also a good possibility that Charlie Hunnam’s character remains behind bars, and we start to see what becomes a rescue mission to try and extract him. This could be the focus of “Toil and Till,” which is the second episode of the season airing on Tuesday, September 16. FX is not one to release extended synopses, and instead this is all we have today:
“SAMCRO solicits help from another Charter to get a messy job done.”
One thing we know about this already is that this other charter may be the Grim Bastards, given that Malcolm-Jamal Warner is set to guest star as a prominent member within this club. While we don’t want to speculate too much on what this “messy job” is, just remember what happens the majority of the time that SAMCRO ends up working with another Charter. Crazy things unfold.
This episode is written by Charles Murray and showrunner Kurt Sutter, while Billy Gierhart is directing. Gierhart directed one of our favorite season 6 episodes in “Wolfsangel,” and has worked alongside Sutter ever since their days on “The Shield.” Murray, meanwhile, is credited for writing “Huang Wu” and “Poenitentia” last season, and these are the only two episodes to his name when it comes to “Sons of Anarchy.” He has also worked on “Third Watch” and “Castle,” another show we cover extensively at CarterMatt.
