ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: ‘Closer’ alum joins Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion in ‘toy’ episode

The mystery surrounding the second episode of “Castle” season 7 has been an interesting one, given that there are a variety of little wrinkles around it. We’ve heard, for example, and the premiere is the first of a two-part event; however, we’ve also heard that this is not necessarily a traditional two-parter, and there will be a mystery involving a toy company thrown in there.

Now, we’re starting to get at least some more information about this part of the story. Per a new report from TVLine, Gina Ravera of “The Closer” fame has been officially booked to guest-star on the upcoming second episode as Marsha Stoller, who is the vice president of this aforementioned company.

While we’re sure that Stana Katic and potentially Nathan Fillion (given Rick’s present state) will be able to spend some time filming with Ravera, her character will not be the only suspect in the murder of the company’s founder Wally Williger. We will also meet the victim’s wife, a young assistant of his named Matt, and also a warehouse. Most of the time on “Castle” the case is never as simple as it first appears, and that is probably true once again here.

Are we excited for whatever this “new mythology” is that ABC plans to introduce into the show? Sure, but at the same time we are glad to see that there is also a movement to bring back some more of the traditional mysteries that we’ve come to enjoy so much on the series.
