Could Caroline Flack move from ‘X Factor’ franchise to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’?
Are we about to see some significant controversy within the world of “The X Factor“? It is certainly possible, thanks mostly to the latest scoop that is coming out there in terms of “Strictly Come Dancing.”
There are multiple rumors surfacing that in the latest move in the ongoing battle between the two shows, “Strictly” may choose to hire none other than Caroline Flack to be one of their celebrity performers this year. Caroline hosted the “Xtra Factor” aftershow for many years before departing recently, and this is a chance for her to prove herself in a big way, especially on a stage that may actually draw better ratings than “The X Factor” does itself.
This sort of stunt is definitely far from unheard of. It was only around a year ago that Christina Milian jumped to “Dancing with the Stars” after being let go as a correspondent on “The Voice.” This move had little impact on the NBC hit losing viewers, but Caroline could be a little more influential. She is more popular than Milian ever was, and “Strictly Come Dancing” has routinely defeated “The X Factor” in Britain the past couple of years to begin with. The British press seems ready to proclaim that Simon Cowell will save the show with him back as a judge, but we will believe it when we see it. We feel like his purpose has almost been a little overly emphasized, given that so many of his terms and his critiques have been overused to this point. We’ll just have to see if he shakes it up come August 30 when the show comes back.
