‘Ray Donovan’ season 2, episode 6 video: Bridget confronts her parents

Given what tends to happy on a pretty regular basis on “Ray Donovan,” should you really be that surprised that the children are all messed-up? It’s nice to take a break from talking about Ray’s terrible situation with Cochran for a minutes … just to talk about his terrible situation with his daughter.

Basically, Bridget is in love with Marvin, who is now bestowing many a gift on her despite the fact that Ray is clearly not a fan, and has proven that to us already. The fact that Bridget was hiding a ring from her parents should be no surprise at all.

The funny thing about the sneak peek below is that we do not blame Bridget in the slightest for acting like a rebellious teenager, and these are typically the sort of TV characters who annoy the you-know-what out of us. The reason for this is pretty darn simple, given that she has a good reason to want to get out of this family. She’s heard her mother crying, and she’s seen the pain that this guy has caused all of them. Not only that, but she knows that Ray is still keeping secrets, and she even drops one of them at the table that surprises everyone.

Now, what we wonder is if there is ever going to be a way that Bridget ends up being stuck with the rest of her clan, and is left without a reasonable way to escape. After all, that is the only way that we ever see her sticking around these people long-term.
