‘The Following’ season 3 spoilers: Ryan Hardy’s new love played by ‘Lost’ alum

New scoop! -As the writers and producers of “The Following” have teased, we are going to see Ryan Hardy in a very different place when the third season premieres on Fox. Specifically, he’s going to have a new woman in his life, and he will also be trying to be a father to her child. All of this sounds rather sweet, right?

We now also know who is going to play this said woman. According to a new report coming in now via Deadline, former “Lost” actress Zuleikha Robinson has signed on as a regular for the role of Gwen. She is an ER doctor, and her daughter is seven years old. She has a strong relationship with Ryan, and without problems from the outside world, there are seemingly no reasons why it would be in trouble.

With that being said … this is “The Following.” Therefore, this is the sort of show where evil things have been known to happen, and probably will continue to happen. The fact that Robinson is a regular is at least somewhat reassuring that the writers are not just going to kill her off in the second episode, and she will be around for at least a little while to witness whatever sort of craziness starts to unfold in New York City.

In addition to playing Ilana for many episodes of the ABC hit, Robinson has also played Roya on “Homeland,” and appeared in multiple episodes most recently in “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” a show produced by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz of “Lost” fame.
