’24’ season 10: Have renewal odds been raised with ‘Live Another Day’ – DVR data?
The live+7 data is finally in for the finale of “24: Live Another Day,” and we are here now to try to answer a very important question: What in the world does it all mean?
Per Deadline, the finale for the show ended up increasing the overall audience for the possible series-ender up to 9.4 million viewers, up almost three million from the original number. This is a big gain for a network TV show, and especially one that was already viewed as must-see TV when it was live thanks just for the potential of so many crazy things happening.
Does this mean that the show is likelier than ever now to get a season 10? As per almost everything else we’ve seen this summer, it’s basically hard to say. This is a show that has the support seemingly of Fox and its executives, but there is an issue that it is still running into here: Whether or not there is another story to tell. As it was said recently at San Diego Comic-Con, we still feel like the future for this proud franchise really depends on whether or not the writers and Kiefer Sutherland feel like there is another adventure for Jack Bauer to take. We certainly feel like there is one thanks to him getting aboard that helicopter … but that’s about all we know right now. The only other hopeful thing that we can cling to is that we have yet to hear any big news about some of the cast members heading over to other projects.
We’ll have some further news on the show’s renewal prospects (as always) as soon as they become available. For now, though, let us know what you think of the show’s chances below! You can also sign up to get further timely TV updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter.

I certainly hope there’s some more Jack and 24! I think there’s definitely more story to tell, good story at that.
I agree that you don’t want a show to go on too long–if it has exhausted it’s avenues–but 24 took a break, and came back strong.
I think there is at least one more story to tell. Whether it be another season, or some type of flick, we’ll see. I’d love one more season and a movie of some sort… We can dream!
Bring back Jack! Such a smart and entertaining–and emotionally deep–show! Best ever.
