‘Mad Men’ season 7: Christina Hendricks reminisces on awkward beginning
How do we know this? You don’t have to look any further than what Christina Hendricks’ agency decided to do after she ended up joining the show. Just take a look at her comments per the Guardian:
“They said, ‘It’s a period piece, it’s never going to go anywhere. We need you to make money and this isn’t going to make money.’ They ended up dropping me.”
We have to imagine that all of this in the end probably makes the feeling of her getting so such success on the show all the sweeter. She can now rejoice in knowing that they were wrong, and her career is basically wide-open with all sorts of offers coming in. This is what happens when you are a part of an iconic series that lasts for almost a decade, when you consider the time between the pilot filming and when the show ends.
Sadly, “Mad Men” will most-likely not return until the spring of next year. Want to know more? Then head over to this link, where you can see our recent post speculating all about premiere dates. Given what we have seen from Joan on the series so far, you have to certainly believe that she still has a big part to play moving forward.
