‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11: Camilla Luddington praises creator Shonda Rhimes
Filming is already underway for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 11, and this is going to be yet another challening season to craft. This show is constantly a balancing act in many ways, given that you have a large cast that you have to take care of story-wise, and then also fans who have their own expectations for what they each individually feel like the story should be.
Whether you enjoy or despite a given plot, though, almost everything falls on creator Shonda Rhimes. She accepts and embraces that role, however difficult that it may be at times. This is what many of the cast members do seem to appreciate about her, though; for example, just take a look at what Camilla Luddington (Jo) had to say per the New York Film Academy website:
“Shonda has a way of keeping her audience on edge time and time again. She produces the kind of shows that people are talking about at the water cooler the next day. She doesn’t give in to what the audience want… And always… ALWAYS it serves for a more captivating story line. That’s what I like about her. She’s just paving the way for females in the industry. She’s showing what a powerhouse women can be…”
There are most likely going to be some captivating stories for Jo this coming season. She obviously still has the world of the interns to navigate through, and in addition to that, she also has to figure out what the future holds for Alex. This is around the time where things tend to get serious, so we’ll have to see if that ends up happening here.
