‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Jared Padalecki’s Sam is not the only one hunting Dean…
If you thought Sam Winchester was going to be able to go all “Happy Hunting” on Demon Dean without a whole lot of outside interference on “Supernatural” season 10, prepare to be surprised. This story is going to get messy early, and it’s all thanks to a series of important facts in between how much Demon is aware of when it comes to his own identity, and also who else could enter the fray looking for him.
Specifically, it appears that at least one other person by the name of Cole is going to be searching for the new demon for his own motives, and this could cause Jared Padalecki’s character more than a little bit of trouble through at least the early portion of this process. For more, just take a look at what showrunner Jeremy Carver had to say to Entertainment Weekly:
“It gets very interesting in that Sam is hunting down his brother, who he eventually will discover is a demon—he doesn’t know that on the onset—and with the hopes of saving him or curing him in some way … While you’ve [also] got this character of Cole, who is hunting down Dean for entirely different reasons. It’s going to cause all kinds of complications, and the character of Cole is someone who will evolve from how we see him to something very different once he finally does come face-to-face with Dean.”
Our expectation that much of the first three or four episodes this coming season are going to deal heavily with the issue of Demon Dean, and the there may at least be a small reprieve for the 200th episode. We imagine that Carver and company would prefer that to be a celebration of the entire series and the journey, and not just an individual story that they are working on right now.
