‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, ‘Scandal’ season 4, and Kerry Washington featured in new promo

Want to get probably the most substantial promo for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 11 (and “Scandal” season 4) yet? Then just take a look at the video below! You’re still not going to get a whole lot when it comes to specific plot insight on these shows, but you can at least get a nice reminder of where the two shows left off.

ABC is really hyping up their Thursday-night lineup of these shows plus “How To Get Away with Murder” right now like nobody’s business, and also doing everything in their power to stress that these were all created by Shonda Rhimes. That’s why Shonda is featured in the promo. How many times do you see a network actually emphasize their showrunner like this? Ultimately, it’s pretty rare, to say the least.

There’s also probably more emphasis put in here on the Viola Davis show than the other two, which we assume is in part due to how badly they want the show to succeed. It’s getting the post-“Scandal” lead in, has an enormous star in film as the lead, and also has a controversial topic at the center of it. Basically, they’ve got almost everything and then some set up in order for this show to be a runaway hit. The only thing that is left to figure out is whether or not this actually happens.

These three shows will all premiere come Thursday, September 25 starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, so we’re of course going to give them plenty of attention to see just how they fare in the ratings, and how they do creatively.
