‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Trouble for Mary-Louise Parker’s character early

The Blacklist logo any seasonThe great news coming out now for Mary-Louise Parker is simple: She’s joining “The Blacklist”! While we’re somewhat surprised that Jenji Kohan hasn’t found a place for her on her “Weeds” follow-up “Orange Is the New Black,” we are very much happy to see her here.

The bad news for Parker is simple: If she wanted the story with her character to be a slow burn, that’s going to be thrown out the window almost immediately. Per TV Guide, her Naomi Hyland is going to find herself in trouble early with Berlin, who is out to mow over those with close ties to Raymond Reddington. While her ties to him are somewhat mysterious for at least the present, we will have a little more information about this eventually.

What about some other characters on the show? While we may have our theories about Hyland and Liz Keen, the latter may be more focused early this season on moving on from Tom. It’s going to be somewhat easier for her to deal with all that happened to her last season now that there is a little bit of distance; however, there will still be at least one remnant from this relationship that could linger for a while. (Not only that, but it’s also possible that Tom continues to be a big part of the show. He doesn’t have to die!)

The new season of “The Blacklist” premieres on NBC Monday, September 22, and you better believe that we’re going to have so much more news on all of the characters before that time. Signs are already pointing towards this being a pretty epic collection of episodes ahead.
