‘Downton Abbey’ season 5: Elizabeth McGovern, more featured in new ITV video
For fans of “Downton Abbey” in the United States, the wait for the season 5 premiere is still a long one. However, the show’s broadcaster across the pond in the United Kingdom is already doing a pretty good job of getting people excited.
The show will most-likely premiere with new episodes in September, and it is one of many featured in a brand-new teaser video via ITV. There are some other shows on their upcoming roster, including “Cilla,” “Chasing Shadows,” and “Lewis.”
With all this being said, though, it is still “Downton Abbey” that has most people talking. This is the highest-rated show around the world of the entire group, and it has captured so many imaginations for its depiction of a particular time in British history.
Of the show’s massive cast, you can in particular see Cora (Elizabeth McGovern), Mary (Michelle Dockery), and Robert (Hugh Bonneville) front and center. These are three characters who are in particular set for some interesting stories in the new season. We are in particular hoping for big things from the Earl, given that Bonneville’s work on “The Monuments Men” limited his participation in all episodes, and he therefore didn’t have a whole lot of a consistent story after all the mess we saw featuring him at the start of season 3.
We are going to have some more scoop related to the Abbey soon, including the issue of what comes next with some of the other characters.
