‘Longmire’ season 3, episode 10 (finale) spoilers: ‘Who killed Walt’s wife?’ finally answered

Next week, “Longmire” is going to finally say goodbye after what was a heck of a season, and hopefully we’ll get answers to everything that we want.

One thing that we know there’ll be some information about? Who killed Walt’s wife. Based on the promo that aired after the episode, the show is finally not going to shy away on some answers in that regard. The title alone in “Ashes to Ashes” is chilling, but also appropriate to the path that the series has taken to this point.

Before we do anything else, let’s go ahead and share the synopsis below:

Walt seeks to put his wife’s murder investigation and Henry’s case to rest; Branch is suspended.”

Of course, “suspended” is a very nice term for this situation based on what we saw tonight. Branch basically has gone all sorts of insane, and we don’t blame Walt in the slightest for anything that he chooses to do with him.

More than anything else, what we want to see at this point for the finale is some sort of clean slate, that way if there is a fourth season, it can just start off by introducing some new cases and mysteries, and try to figure out from there a little bit of what it wants to do. There are certain doors of the mythology that need to be closed so that others can open, and now seems like the perfect time to do some of that.

Is there anything in particular that you want to see on the “Longmire” finale? Let us know your thoughts below.
