‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Wildcat also on the way!
Clearly, giving us The Atom and Ra’s al Ghul was not enough for the “Arrow” team for this coming season; we’re also going to see another iconic character in Wildcat turn up at some point.
While at the DC Comics TV panel at Comic-Con this weekend, it was confirmed that Ted Grant, the alter ego to this character, would be playing a part moving forward. He may also have some interactions with Laurel Lance. (Possible love interest? It seems like the timing is right, given that she was mostly on her own in season 2.)
If we were to make a list of characters not appearing on the show, we’d probably say it includes the obvious ones like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, but then also Green Lantern, Hawkman, Aquaman, Wonder Girl, and apparently the Blue Beetle because that was vetoed. These seem to be more in “Justice League” territory, especially since the movie will try to steer clear of what the show is doing.
As for our list of those we want to see, we’d include Cyclone, Stargirl, Harley Quinn (in something more than a cameo), Nightwing, and Zatanna incorporated some way. However, we’ll just have to see what the writers come up with. Part of the fun of this show right now is the sense of surprise that comes with learning about the writers’ plans as things start to move along.
The new season of “Arrow” is still filming in the Vancouver area, and we will see it officially premiere come Wednesday, October 8 on The CW. Get ready for a crazy season, and one that will hopefully up the ante again.
