‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Kim Coates on Tig, Venus, surprises, and more

The road ahead -Later this afternoon, you’ll hopefully have a chance to see a ton of great stuff related to “Sons of Anarchy” at the show’s official Comic-Con panel. There is, after all, quite a bit of ground to cover. Kurt Sutter has also promised that there will be a big guest-star reveal later today, which is pretty crazy since he’s already given us both Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson as guest stars.

But, we digress. We’re here for now mostly to discuss Kim Coates and the journey that lies ahead for Tig. First of all, let’s start by addressing the elephant that is constantly in the room for this guy, and that is whether or not he is going to die at the end of the series. Speaking to TVLine, he claims that we should not necessarily assume the fate of all these characters just based on what happens to them within the world of Shakespeare:

“The one thing about Sutter that [everyone knows by now], is that just when you think you’ve figured something out, it goes a completely different way. So I’m a big Shakespeare guy … This is very ‘Hamlet’-esque, but that doesn’t mean that it is going to end ‘Hamlet’-esque.”

So what about Venus and Tig? This bizarre relationship was all sorts of awesome in season 6, and we know that it will be continuing in some form:

“I freakin’ love Goggins … He and I have been given this plum little whatever a relationship this is. For him to shave his legs and put on those breasts and come to set and sweat ten pounds in the suits he has to wear … It’s a joy for me.”

We personally would love it if Tig was one of the last men standing, if for no other reason than that this is a guy who looked like he was about to die at least seven or eight times in the seris already. He’s strangely invincible in that way, even though we’re also very aware of his mortality.

We’ll have some more of those “Sons of Anarchy” updates from the convention later over at this link, so be sure to be on the lookout for those. Also, you can sign up if you’re curious in getting further news on everything we cover via our official newsletter.
