‘Ray Donovan’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Ray’s latest meeting

On Sunday night’s new episode of “Ray Donovan,” you can expect questionings to be the name of the game. You can also add to that list the fact that Ray is not afraid of the FBI whatsoever.

In the sneak peek, you can see Ray openly question Cochran in a conversation about a reporter who is starting to breath down his neck a little bit. This woman (“Lois Lane,” as Cochran calls her) has come all the way from Boston asking questions, and you know thanks to this that she means some business.

You know that Ray is a resourceful guy, a pretty smart one, and also deadly. However, his greatest advantage over most of the people that he squares off with is that they’re mostly idiots. He doesn’t often have to use his greatest skill set in his craftiness. This storyline could be one of his biggest challenges to date. This is not your garden variety case of a reporter around town asking questions about a case. This is someone who already has leads, and is a few moves away from breaking things open. The fact that Mickey Donovan is wrapped up in all of this only makes things worse in the end.

At the end of the day, who knows? Maybe we are going to have a few more answers here when it comes to what this reporter can really do. Maybe Ray’s conversation here actually did something … but we’re doubtful.
