‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Struggles with Ashley Benson’s Hanna
Is Hanna in desperate need of an intervention right now on “Pretty Little Liars“? It certainly looks like she needs something, since for the first time, Caleb really doesn’t feel like much of a positive influence on her at all.
Hanna is obviously struggling from a drinking problem, and in traditional “Pretty Little Liars” fashion, she doesn’t want to get help from anyone else at a time when she desperately needs it. Instead, she is much more intent on trying to push everyone away … including her friends. She doesn’t want to dine with them, and it takes some serious pushing before she starts to even vaguely consider whether or not she wants to apologize to Alison for her behavior at dinner.
Hanna’s already created huge problems for all of the Liars; “Sydney,” this new girl in school, could very well be an undercover police officer who she told something important to regarding the girls being in New York. Also, we’ve learned from Spencer that things tend to get so much more long before they get better. So if she is able to turn some things around here in regards to her personal life, don’t expect it to be happening anytime soon. She’s going to continue to slide until she herself realizes that there is a major problem. It’s not enough that everyone else recognizes that something is going on.
This episode airs on Tuesday night, and trust us when we say that this is only the tip of the iceberg for Hanna. We’ll have much more to report on here soon.
