ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: The bizarre premiere title is…
Shonda Rhimes has left us guessing on many occasions before when it comes to “Scandal” episode titles, but the one that she has created for the season 4 premiere right now may just be the strangest one to date.
What we can say about it right now, at least per her official Twitter, is this: The name is “Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia.” This makes almost zero sense to us right now, and it’s also very well possible that we won’t understand it even after watching the actual episode.
Maybe these names are code for something else, or maybe this is some obscure reference of songs molded together into one? She obviously does have a reason for it, or at least so we think. It’s not the first time that she has gone out of the box with these, but our favorite “Scandal” episode titles are the ones that are somewhat creative, but also still grounded and appropriate when we watch the episode. “The Price of Free and Fair Elections” may be long, but this is one of the best titles that we’ve seen on the show in a long time.
The fourth season will be premiering on Thursday, September 25, so if there is one thing that we can tell you right now to make the waiting process a little easier, it is that you at least know when the light at the end of the tunnel will be. This episode is set a few months after Olivia’s exit in the finale, and we’ll hopefully get to see what happened to OPA in her absence.
For now, what do you think about the premiere title … and is it possibly too strange for its own good? Let us know your thoughts now with a comment, and click here if you’re interested in getting further scandalous TV updates via our newsletter.
