‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: A bike full of shadows in latest teaser
Just in case you thought that the first teaser for “Sons of Anarchy” season 7 was being coy and mysterious, the latest one that FX has released may very well drive you up the way. This one actually reveals less than the first one. At least that one gave you a look at Charlie Hunnam’s Jax.
In this teaser, a motorcycle rides alone at night (with no driver), and the coolest thing about is the way that the video plays with color and also shadow to make the sense of loneliness and despair ever clearer. This is a very different sort of promotional angle than what the show has done in the past, which is to accentuate either more of the show’s brutality, or the sense of family that you sometimes see between the various members of SAMCRO. We often see many shows opt for more of a simplistic strategy for promoting their final seasons, and this motorcycle opus is no exception.
The only interesting irony to all this is that the first promo starred Jax, and yet, the season is actually going to start off with him in prison. (Maybe that’s why the bike is empty this time around.) He’s going to have to atone for some of his own mistakes, or at least put on the front for it. At this point, we have a hard time imagining how this guy can really be redeemed. We’re not sure that he even wants to. Survival is really the only thing that he and some of the other characters can really hope for.
