ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Stana Katic gives flashback photo as filming starts

As many “Castle” fans now thankfully know, the wait is finally over for production to begin! Filming started in the Los Angeles area this week for the show’s seventh season, and we have something pretty fantastic coming at us right out of the gate. The premiere episode, penned by new showrunner David Amann, is meant to be a look at what happens next for Richard Castle after his capture. Hopefully, it will also touch on whether or not he and Kate Beckett can finally get married.

We’re not here to present those answers to you; even if we had them, we wouldn’t say since that would completely spoil the fun of everything. What we’re getting ready to share for you instead is one of the great first photos of Stana Katic behind the scenes and working hard on the show.

The image to the left was first posted on the actress’ Twitter account, and it features her working alongside frequent “Castle” director (and one of the best) Rob Bowman. (Update: It’s an old photo, but the impact is probably still the same.) She also included the following caption:

“Back in the saddle with this punk again. #Castle season 7″

This one photo somehow gets us even more excited than we were previously, even if it is old and gives away pretty much nothing about what could be coming up. The only thing that we would assume is that Beckett is going to do just about everything in her power and then some, using some methods that even fellow officers would frown upon, just to make sure that her fiance is safe. It’s going to be even harder on her, though, thanks mostly to the fact that nobody knows who the captor is.
