‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: Scott Porter on George’s story, episode count

More -Hart of Dixie” is already filming its upcoming fourth season, and while you may have heard talk and even assumed a shortened season already due to Rachel Bilson’s pregnancy, it’s now been re-confirmed by one of the actors.

In a post on Twitter in response to a question, Scott Porter said that 10 episodes have been ordered, and given that the show is not on The CW’s fall schedule, we imagine that these ten will probably start airing either in January as a fill-in for a show on hiatus, or in March after something is either over or has been canceled early.

Porter also claimed that in this season we can expect George to “finally find himself,” which is something that we are certainly looking forward to. He’s created his own bad luck at times, but there have also been some occasions for him (including several involving Tansy) where things just haven’t work out in his favor through very little fault of his own. The season 3 finale ended with him and Lavon back fighting over Lemon again, and given the amount of comedy that could be taken from this, we definitely expect to see more from this throughout the episodes ahead.

Our desired endgame for George may be a little different than most. We’re not so concerned about whether or not he ends up with somebody (the show often suggests that romance is the end-all, be-all of things), but rather that he is just able to find happiness in his career and his life. He can stop feeling insecure about anything, and realize that he can be a serious force to be reckoned with in both BlueBell and the rest of the world.
