‘Glee’ season 6: Chris Colfer talks hackers, books, and more in ‘GMA’ interview
One week removed from the whole Twitter-hacking scandal, Chris Colfer is now in the midst of a different sort of publicity spree: Promoting the third book in his The Land of Stories series. That is taking him to a variety of different venues, an that included “Good Morning America” this week.
Of course, the talk about him supposedly leaving “Glee” thanks to that hacker, which is not even remotely the truth, was one key subject of conversation. However, what really struck us about this chat in general was mostly that the Fox show was not really mentioned that much at all. Instead, the conversation tilted more to the new book first and foremost, and then eventually went into one of his other projects coming up: A Noel Coward biopic that he will start shooting next year, playing a young version of the character. This project is also going to feature the likes of Vanessa Redgrave and Sir Ian McKellan. In other words, this is as prestigious of a cast as you can ever hope for.
Like so many other stars of “Glee,” Chris is clearly smart to start looking forward towards the future now. The show is going to end after this coming season, which means everyone will need to have some new gigs in either TV, theater, or film. We wouldn’t be shocked if many of the stars head over to Broadway, or go on to do another comedy within the span of just a couple of years. While Dianna Agron has a healthy movie resume right now, there is not a star of the show yet who has managed to completely break out since leaving.
