‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5, season 3 preview: Where do Jane, Maura go from here?
Tuesday night’s “Rizzoli & Isles” episode is one of the most emotional ones of its entire run, and for a very obvious reason. This was the tribute episode to Lee Thompson Young and the Barry Frost character, and while the show focuses on fictional people, it can still be very hard to say goodbye.
One other thing that we imagine will be hard for the show is moving forward, since they have to try and balance the tragedy with creating new storylines, and figuring out what they want to do with their characters the rest of the season. Jane’s pregnancy is something that the writers have not forgotten about, and there are always the standard cases that are addressed week in and week out.
The episode airing next week is entitled “To Good to Be True,” and while we have heard that Frost’s death will not be forgotten, he is not mentioned in the episode’s official synopsis:
“A killer is using online ads to find the perfect candidate for murder: men no one will notice are missing. Meanwhile, Jane discovers that keeping her pregnancy quiet will be a tough assignment.”
Jane’s pregnancy is obviously something that will have to come out eventually, and the decision for her should really boil down to just one question: When does she want to make the news clear? Ideally, she will be able to make her announcement at her own pace and without someone spoiling it, but this is life. You don’t always get what you want, and sometimes you just end up getting frustrated.
