‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson in ‘Surfing the Aftershocks’

Tonight’s new “Pretty Little Liars” episode brought the characters back to Rosewood, and it also brought back much of the drama that we have commonly associated with the show. This was much more of a vintage feel for the popular series, which is probably going to get even crazier the rest of the way.

Next week, we have an episode entitled “Surfing the Aftershocks” that continues to put Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, and the rest of the cast through the wringer as they have to deal with the situation that Alison DiLaurentis has set up for them.

“Now being forced to live through Ali’s latest lie, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to cover their tracks, while simultaneously trying to piece together what happened in New York. Hanna and Aria have to close loose ends with the two people who know the truth about Ali’s story – Mona and Ezra. Spencer and Emily try to find out the truth about Jason and his whereabouts the night they were in New York.

“Meanwhile, Hanna starts to examine who she really is – Hefty Hanna or Queen Bee Hanna – now that Ali is back.”

As expected, these are the sorts of issues that you would imagine that the ladies would be dealing with now. Ali’s arrival means different things to different people, and obviously one of the people who is feeling this the most is Ezra, given his own past with her.. After being missing in action for a good chunk of the season so far, we’ll be happy to see him in at least a somewhat-more-prominent role.
