‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8: Could we finally meet Penny’s mom?
Obviously, there is one in Howard’s father that was addressed already in an interesting way, but for the most part Penny’s mom is a mystery. She doesn’t supposedly have a horrendous relationship with her, but at the same time she has never surfaced as a very important part of the story. We’ve met her father (played by Keith Carradine), and that was only for a brief appearance.
Unfortunately, at the moment even Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting doesn’t know just what this particular story is going to hold for her character. Speaking to TVLine, she does make it clear that she wants to make it happen; as a matter of fact, she has also figured out who she would want in the role:
“I know, I’ve been waiting! I don’t know what they’re going to do, but I have always thought — and I hope this doesn’t offend her because I know she’s super young, though we know Penny’s mom got knocked up very early – that Lisa Kudrow would be so perfect. I’ve said that for years. I think it would be hilarious, plus I’m a huge fan of hers, so it’s a selfish wish.”
We sign off on the idea of casting Kudrow, mostly because any chance to get a former “Friends” star on a sitcom should be a chance worth taking.
