‘Ray Donovan’ season 2 trailer: Someone’s buried alive…
“Ray Donovan” fans, rejoice! On Sunday, July 13, the show is going to be back on USA with all new episodes that seem to continue along with every established theme from season 1. There is action, betrayal, a little bit of romance, but mostly violence and corruption. This show is as close to a modern-day mob drama we have, with a little bit of the “fixing” that Olivia Pope does on “Scandal” thrown in for good measure.
The most chilling moment of the new trailer released by Showtime is the simple sight of seeing Ray buried alive at the end. Maybe this is a physical event that takes place in the series itself, or maybe this is really meant as some metaphor of what is actually going on in his life. There are so many factors weighing in on him, from his family to his loyalty to his work and also the threat of the police at almost every turn.
Just in case all of this was not bad enough for him, there is someone else breathing down his neck now in a reporter new on the scene with Boston ties. This is someone who could know quite a bit about his family’s past, and that is big trouble. Really, the only thing that he can do to keep her away is to try to not let her speak to select people, and get the answers that she wants.
This season will be paired with another new-ish show in “Masters of Sex,” and even though it is no longer going to be paired with “Dexter” (of course), it may still pull in solid ratings.
