‘The Flash’ spoilers: A deeper look inside S.T.A.R. Labs

If you have been watching “Arrow” and seen most of the promotional material that The CW has put out there already in regards to “The Flash,” then we imagine that you are probably very familiar already with Barry Allen. Therefore, we’re not too bummed at all that Grant Gustin really is not the focus at all of the brand-new clip released from The CW.

Instead, this video features more of Cisco Roman, Caitlin Snow, and Dr. Harrison Wells, three of the most-important people at S.T.A.R. Labs. These are the people who are going to become in some ways confidantes of Barry’s over the next several months, as he has to rely on someone to help him figure out the right way to channel his powers. This is a little different to “Arrow” in that we have a built-in team for Barry right away, whereas Oliver queen had to assemble John Diggle and Felicity Smoak over time.

The clip is narrated by the actor behind Wells in Tom Cavanagh, who is one of the seasoned veterans of this series. We would compare his acting experience in a way to Paul Blackthorne on “Arrow,” even if this character is very different than the Quentin Lance one that we have over on that show.

In the end, the only emotion that we really feel after watching this clip is that of overwhelming excitement. The CW is doing the right thing in getting you to know the whole cast in advance, and you already have a hero that has a huge following out there. The obvious challenge for them is going to be mostly trying to find a way to keep this story exciting and interesting, and continue to make it human despite having superpowers at the center of it. This is something that “Arrow” has been able to skirt around.
