‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: Director on big move for Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark

Sansa -There have been times where it must have been difficult to play the Sansa Stark character on “Game of Thrones.” She is consistently one of the most polarizing people with the fans, mostly because she battles more with her head and with strategy than with swords or even harsh words.

Personally, we’ve found the arc for the character this season to be by and large exceptional, and much of that culminates with her lying for Littlefinger, and ensuring that she has a place of relative power alongside him. Not only that, but she seemingly got some sort of Gothic makeover in the process.

So why choose a man who was just responsible for sending your aunt through the Moondoor? Well, the simple answer to this is that in the world in which she lives in, Baelish is suddenly the best possible option in a series of bad ones. This is something that Alex Graves, who directed Sophie Turner in “The Mountain and the Viper,” had the following to say about in a chat with The Hollywood Reporter:

“She has made the ultimate, fairly brilliant political move of siding with the one person who gives her the best chance of surviving against the Lannisters, who want her dead. She’s got to make the most powerful alliance she can. Who is the smartest person in the room? That’s Littlefinger.”

Now, we are also left with one other interesting question right now: What in the world happens when Arya Stark turns up? She and The Hound turned up at the Eyrie at the end of this episode, and her presence could alter things somewhat for Sansa. We do imagine, though, that despite all of their differences, the two will be happy to actually be in one another’s company again.
