NBC’s ‘The Voice’ coach Adam Levine announces ‘V’ album with Maroon 5
Adam Levine will be celebrating Christina Grimmie being in the finale of “The Voice” tonight by singing a duet with her, he also has something else to be pretty excited about right now: Getting the opportunity to do more of what he really does best.
In a statement today, it was announced that Adam’s band Maroon 5 had signed a new deal with Interscope Records, and they will release a new album entitled “V” due on September 2. Also, the band signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation, which is an opportunity to make an enormous amount of money.
Now, one of the more interesting questions will be whether or not Adam is able to continue doing it all, being a rock star, a reality TV personality, a businessman, and so much more. He has confirmed himself to be on seven seasons of the show, and a tour is a good reason to take some time off. We’re merely speculating on all of this, though, and Adam has proved already that he can pull off everything. He previously managed to work out both “The Voice” and a Maroon 5 tour thanks to some clever scheduling.
The seventh season of “The Voice” will star filming its blind auditions later this summer, but the show will not premiere until September. Christina Aguilera will be out on maternity leave, and will be replaced by Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams will have a new semi-permanent spot on the show in the place of Cee Lo Green, who announced his exit earlier this year.
