‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15, episode 24 (finale) spoilers: Richard Belzer on return

It’s been a while since you last saw Munch on “Law & Order: SVU” this season, but the great news is that he will be back on Wednesday night for the finale.

The unfortunate thing for him is that it would be nice to see him under much more pleasant circumstances. Instead, the situation that we are staring at here is pretty simple. Nick Amaro is in some serious hot water after being arrested, and Richard Belzer’s character will be one of many who is investigating the situation. He has taken on a role as a special investigator within the FBI, so there are opportunities for him to come back from time to time in the event the situation calls for it.

In the video below, Belzer in particular expresses his joy to be back just from the standpoint of getting to be around some of his friends again … who are practically family at this point. While he knew that he missed the likes of Danny Pino and Mariska Hargitay, it was almost immediately upon his return that he realized that there was a part of him that missed being around them even more than he originally thought (crazy as that may be to say).

There are many other questions regarding this finale, including whether or not Benson will end up adopting, and we will hope to have some more answers in regards to that as we get deeper and deeper into the preview process later in the week. For now, just be happy to see more of Munch! (We know that we are.)
