‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8: A look at the (possible) future for Kaley Cuoco, cast
Tonight, “The Big Bang Theory” is wrapping up season 7, and now we are left with another question: What lies ahead for the eighth season?
The first thing to know here is that there are plenty of assurances that this will not mark the end of the show. CBS already renewed the series through season 10, and while the state of cast negotiations are not entirely clear, there’s no real reason to worry about any of that. This is the top-rated comedy on TV by a pretty large margin, and there is money to be made here for everyone.
As for some of the general themes that the upcoming season could cover for Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Jim Parsons, and the rest of the cast, we picture in our brain the likes of the following:
- Leonard and Penny’s wedding – It has to happen at some point, right? It will be hard to really drag that story out for three years when the relationship was already so long in the making.
- Raj’s romantic future – Can he keep a relationship going longer than a season? Laura Spencer is going to return for the next season, but will have double-duty between this show and “Bones.”
- Sheldon – This is a major mystery, thanks to the way in which season 7 raised questions regarding what he wants out of life. We’ve never had a cliffhanger for the character like this, and it’s therefore exciting.
- Howard and Bernadette – Right now, their story is all about whether or not the two of them can find a way to take care of his mother, and they haven’t even started to think about children. Hopefully, this lasts for a while longer.

As with any good story – the thing that drives the plot forward is CONFLICT. Sheldon left Pasadena without saying goodbye to Amy or anyone. While Leonard and Penny are ok with this, Amy wasn’t, and she might not be able to forgive Sheldon right away. If everyone on the show is happy with no problems, then that is boring. I would like to see Sheldon and Amy have some real relationship problems, like Leonard and Penny (and Howard and Bernadette) have had in the past. It might then make their relationship stronger.

I think that Penny should move in with Leonard and Sheldon. Howard and Bernadette shouldn’t have any babies and Sheldon should get to move on from string theory and be happy in work. We should defiantly see more of Amy and Sheldon, Stuart and Raj and we should see the wedding of Leonard and Penny and their relationship should be really strong

More Sheldon and Amy. Sheldon needs to be happy professionally. Leonard and Penny have keep having a strong relationship. More Stuart and Raj needs to keep dating. Tenure could be decided. No babies for Howard and Bernie
