‘Supernatural’ season 9: Misha Collins celebrates season 10 status
The “Supernatural” fandom is of course an opinionated bunch, and thanks to that, there are a variety of different reactions now to the news that the series has brought back Misha Collins for a tenth season as a regular. Personally, we’re excited. Even though the show is about the Winchester brothers and that should never change, it is nice to have another face that you see more than just a small handful of times a season. Castiel is a bridge between them and the supernatural community; heck, he understands it better than ever now that he has been one of them.
So what does Misha himself have to say about his return? Let’s just say that it fits perfectly into his style of being completely self-deprecating. In a post on Twitter recently, he shared the following message:
“Happy to be back & thanks for all the support. for those of you who are disappointed, you’re probably on the wrong twitter feed.”
There are to us a number of reasons to be excited about seeing more Misha.
1. It’s a full-time job, for one! This secures that it will be easy to secure Castiel whenever producers want him.
2. Misha does a lot of good with his Random Acts charity, and him having more opportunities to stay in the public eye in turn helps him to do more great things.
3. There are going to be some potentially great chances to see more of Misha next season that go beyond just what we have seen this time with the angel war.
