In some ways, it feels strange writing about a new “Law & Order: SVU” episode like it is the same thing we do every week. Why? We’re still riding high following the news that the show is coming back for another season! For a while, we were confident but also still nervous about the show’s chances; now, we can relax and actually just watch the rest of the episodes.

The one airing next week is titled “Thought Criminal,” which is going to feature a very bizarre / shocking investigation. Not only that, but it marks the return of B.D. Wong to the show! He played a major role for many years, and it’s nice to see that the writers are still finding out a great use for him.

Take a look at the official synopsis for this hour below:

Under the guidance of Lieutenant Murphy (Donal Logue), Sergeant Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and the SVU take an active approach to catching sex offenders – they target Simon Wilkes (guest star Joshua Malina), a well-regarded photographer with a secret life. An undercover investigation finds his graphic fantasies may have crossed the line into reality, at a child’s expense. But the case becomes impossible when no evidence of a victim is found.”

As soon as there is a promo available, be sure to come back here for some more analysis all about it. If there isn’t one in the near future, we’ll have to bring one in at a later date. Either way, this sounds like another vintage episode for the show.
