‘Call the Midwife’ season 3, episode 6 preview (PBS): Trixie’s date; Shelagh’s struggle
For those of you wanting to see more Jenny Lee following the character’s absence on “Call the Midwife” Sunday night, we come bearing bad news: She’s not really featured in any of the promotional material for this upcoming hour, either. We’re hesitant to spoil anything else when it comes to her, but we will go ahead and at least talk about some of the other characters’ stories that will be presented.
For one, Trixie is going to have one of her most entertaining episodes of the season tomorrow night, as she tries to do her best to find love in unusual places. Meanwhile, Shelagh and Dr. Turner are going to embark down the road of adoption, which is going to be a key story for them throughout multiple episodes ahead. If you want to find out some more, then just be sure to check out the official PBS synopsis below:
“Tom, the local curate, asks Trixie to join him for a day of cricket. She happily accepts, but their date is disastrous and she’s left feeling disappointed. Shelagh decides to talk to Dr. Turner about adopting a baby. Patsy struggles to adapt to the unpredictable and chaotic working life that midwifery brings. When she upsets a young mother in the clinic, she’s taken off midwifery and put on to the district rota. In the course of her work, she forms a bond with a docker and works tirelessly to find a diagnosis for his unusual symptoms.”
Just be sure when you watch tomorrow not to miss anything at the tail end of the hour; you’ll be happy that you did. (For more, we’ve got a preview video below.)
