‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Creator on plans for another year

Even though Marlene King has talked occasionally in the past about the possibility of there being a “Pretty Little Liars” moving taking place, there is one thing that needs to be made pretty clear right now: She is still very much into trying to get another season off of the ground first and foremost.

Speaking to E! News, King reiterated her hope that there is a renewal for the show that gets it to another season, and she is already starting to plan at least a good portion of that season out:

“I don’t think the end of season five is the end of our story. We know what that ending is already and it definitely sets us up for some more stories to tell in season six, but of course we have to rely on ABC Family for that, but I think they’ll think so too.”

Do we think that a season 6 will happen? Probably. The show is a huge hit in the ratings, and if the contracts the stars signed before things started up are typical to most others, they are probably all on board to do another year. To us, the real question is if there is enough story for that, and we’re not so sure. It will be hard to do a season with the Liars all out of high school, but at the same time, how long can you have these people all playing high-school characters? It’s quite the conundrum.
