‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: First details on finale, Sandra Oh’s exit
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 15. Not only is this the finale for “Grey’s Anatomy,” but it will be the last time that you see the character of Dr. Cristina Yang on the show unless there is some twist and she comes back later for a milestone episode.
First things first, let’s talk titles. “Fear (of the Unknown)” is the name for this hour, and that is a pretty darn ominous tease since it infers everything from Cristina making a big move, and also the possibility that any patient has to be aware of when they come to a hospital: You have to recognize death in a tiny window of time, and that is a near-impossible thing to do.
You have likely heard about some of the teasers in the synopsis below from a few sites here and there, but never potentially in the same spot like you have them here:
“In the Season 10 finale, the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital bid an emotional farewell to the beloved Cristina Yang. A possible act of terrorism rocks Seattle and causes chaos at the hospital. Meanwhile, Meredith makes a life changing decision and one doctor receives shocking news.”
By the end of this episode, who knows? Maybe we will have some more clarification on where Cristina is going to go, and also if Meredith’s “life changing decision” really is something that we look at years down the line as significant. The one thing that you do have to remember here is that Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey have had new contracts to stay put for a while, so there has not been any reason to fret over them leaving, and the story is probably not going to be open-ended for them to go anywhere.
