‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: Babies and strategy
We’re getting near the home stretch of “Big Brother Canada 2,” and for better or worse that means closer looks at all of the houseguests. Some of them aren’t that stuffed full of strategy at this point, and that makes the show a little bit of a one-sided affair.
When it comes to the funny, let’s give a round of applause to Jon in a baby outfit! That was the best part of the whole episode, mostly because it and almost everything associated with it was completely ridiculous. We didn’t really need the baby task, and it didn’t provide much else save for making the houseguests crazy. We did love the fact that the show paid for a stork costume to walk into the house and deliver the dolls, even if they were never seen.
The rest of the show was basically par for the course: Jon won Head of Household, and he chose to nominate Heather and Sabrina, with the target seemingly being the former of the two. This is the part of the game where things have to get a little bit more cutthroat, and you have to figure out who are really the top candidates to go far and win at the end of the game. It also comes down to such silly things as possible competitions. Heather is a better competitor than Sabrina, and Jon realizes that she may also be someone who could stick with Neda over him.
While there are no huge moves and crazy moments going on right now, it’s still a solid season of “Big Brother Canada.” At least there still are characters left, and moves that can be made. Grade: B-.
