‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Denis O’Hare teases new role
One of the joys of every season of “American Horror Story” is getting the opportunity to find out more and more about who some of your favorite stars are going to play. It’s always a guessing-game, and the best surprises are when an actor gets to play someone completely different than who they were the season before.
For Denis O’Hare, it would not be hard for him to get a better character than Spaulding when it comes to lines … mostly because he rarely spoke on the FX show. Like Evan Peters, he had to find a different way to channel his energy into the role. This time around, it actually sounds like he is going to speak! Just take a look at what O’Hare had to say to Vulture about how he is going to be at odds with Jessica Lange next year after spending “Coven” working as an ally:
“I’m going to be working at cross-purposes with her. We’re going to be like this … We’ll have lots of scenes with each other, but we’ll be battling.”
O’Hare also said that his character is going to be a “collector” of various freaks, rather than a member of the freak-show circus that Lange’s character has assembled down in Jupiter, Florida. The majority of the other characters in the cast are going to be a part of the show, and we are insanely curious already as to what they are going to be. We’re also interested to see if they will stay away of the classic “creepy clown” horror show cliches.
