‘The Tomorrow People’ spoilers: Could Russell unite (almost) everyone?

The Russell character on “The Tomorrow People” is clearly one of the people who is constantly all over the place. This is a guy who is extremely reckless, easily persuaded, and often struggles with the concept of doing the right thing. But, he’s not a villain in the slightest. We feel like there is a very good person in there, and he just struggles occasionally trying to find a way to have that good person come out.

So when could there be a perfect opportunity for this to happen? Think along the lines of the upcoming “Son of Man,” which could be one of the most-important hours of the entire series so far (and not to mention probably one of the last). In the synopsis below, you can get a greater sense as to just what is coming up in this hour, including a massive joining of forces to try to take down the Founder once and for all:

“Russell (Aaron Yoo) realizes his alliance with The Founder (guest star Simon Merrells) was a mistake, and tries to make up for his decision by saving Cara (Peyton List) from an Ultra ambush. Stephen (Robbie Amell) understands that he must be the one to stop The Machine and the extermination of humanity, but he fears he may be too late. Russell offers up a plan to help Stephen, but he is going to need everyone’s help, including John (Luke Mitchell) and Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), if they are going to have any chance to survive. Meanwhile, Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino) offers John an interesting opportunity that could have them working together again.”

Whatever happens this season, let’s just hope that it all leads to setting up an epic finale that resolves most of the key storylines. This show is still firmly on the bubble, and you don’t want to see it end without any real resolution at all.
