ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 20 preview: Where Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe go next

Did you expect this to happen on “Revenge” season 3? Somehow, Victoria finds her way time and time again to put herself in just the right situation for things to go her way. We’re not too shocked that she keeps pulling it off given her track record, but still.

Let’s start the discussion about the next new episode first and foremost with some sad news for those wanting to see a new episode next week: The show is making you wait, even though “Once Upon a Time” has a new episode on. What gives? Think of this as yet another wrinkle that tends to come up in the word of television scheduling. ABC wants to have at least some episodes of the show saved until peak ratings season, and thanks to them giving you some episodes in January, this is happening. (Random aside: Whenever we think of “this is happening,” we picture Jack Black punting Baxter in “Anchorman.”)

In going back to the story, we cannot really say that this promo gives that much away save for all of the sightings of people in peril. This may be very shocking for many, but for us, it’s just another day at the “Revenge” office. Most of the true shockers will take place at the very end of the season, though you can still say pretty easily that what happened with Pascal and Victoria is pretty high on the “OMG” meter. There are only three episodes left, so brace yourselves for that and fasten your seatbelts.
