ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 18 video: Victoria pays Mason a visit

How close is Victoria Grayson to exposing Emily Thorne on “Revenge“? She’s closer, but not exactly there just yet. That’s at least the impression that we get after watching the sneak peek below from Sunday night’s ominously-named “Blood.”

In this peek, Madeleine Stowe’s character pays none other than Mason Treadwell a visit, and for one simple reason: She knows that he is the foremost expert on certain elements of “family history” (if you can call it that), and she wants to know if there are any ties to Emily that he has uncovered. Of course, the answer to that depends on what name your are talking here: Emily Thorne, or Amanda Clarke?

Mason is someone who Emily has to be worried about, but at the same time, doesn’t he have a deal with her? Unless Victoria finds a way to buy out the guy’s freedom and ship him off somewhere he cannot be touched, we don’t fully get what the motivation for him helping her could possibly be. Not only that, but Mason feels like a character who is by and large in this game for the notoriety just as much as he is for his freedom. Therefore, there’s a benefit in him being patient and get all the information he needs to live the life of a literary superstar.

If there is some information passed down in this scene, you better believe that Emily will find a way to track it down. She’s like the Newton’s First Law of People: For every action of Victoria’s comes and equal and opposite reaction.
