‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 16 preview: Simon Baker and a fancy party
After several weeks trying to figure out what was transpiring to former members of the CBI, Sunday night’s new episode of “The Mentalist” is going to bring us back to a story that, at least on the surface, feels a little bit more like something that is going to be more old-school. It’s a story that put Patrick Jane undercover, and therefore forces a good many other people to play along with his antics.
This time around, the setting is Jane’s “house,” where Abbott leads a potential target for what is a fancy dinner party. This particular scene below is going to really highlight the Jane / Lisbon relationship, which has been consistently one of the more entertaining parts of the show ever since the beginning.
Unfortunately for shippers, we know already that they are not going to get exactly what they want out of this episode. Why is that? This is also the episode that features the arrival of Pedro Pascal as a possible Lisbon love interest. We still stand behind what we said in the past, though, and that is that this relationship for her (if it becomes that) will ultimately end up helping Jane to realize that he has serious feelings for her that really can’t be ignored.
Given that some random guy who is at the center of an investigation saying something nice to Lisbon makes Jane uncomfortable, we could only imagine what a serious suitor for her heart would do.

Another Dumb episode where’s Jisbon moments where’s the undercover couple moments.
GOD JUST CANCEL THIS STUPID LAME SHOW.
Also PIKE VOMIT FACE what a lame intro to make him any interest at all to Lisbon.
I’d shoot him dead away from Lisbon because the way the writers did this epiosde didn’t at all do it right the entire episode was nothing but CR*P.

Gosh, another comment frm another armchair watcher who believes they can do a better job than the writers who have by the way, done an amazing job over the past 6 seasons (which is why we have 6 seasons!)
I thought this episode was great, and the writers managed to tease out that tension between Lisbon, Jane & Pike and bring to the surface more Jane’s under-the-surface feelings in a way that wasn’t awkward at all and which, frankly, is really difficult to do given such a complicated relationship that has spanned 6 seasons! I am just as great a Jisbon shipper as u are.
And we can see obviously that we are getting there from the way this episode played out… This is the first time Jane’s feelings for Lisbon have been so obvious! Heller’s already guaranteed that they are gonna get together. So just wait a few more episodes, and calm yourself down man. Just because the episode didn’t go exactly the way you want doesn’t mean you have to crap on the writers and call for the show to be cancelled, sheesh.

1st we have 6 Seasons because of viewers not creators or writers it’s us
that watch day in and day out to keep the show on air and yet all these
years many many many Fans have wanted J&L together as a couple and
what happens or better yet what’s said by creators such as Bruno.
”Lisbon has to have a life outside of Jane” and find her own love
interest and yet that hasn’t really happened at all over the years but
all of a sudden so many episode down the line hey let’s give Lisbon a
love interest 5 episode arc { POINTLESS }
Where’s the proof ”Heller’s already guaranteed that they are gonna get together.” ??????
Also I found it odd that another Jisbon shipper doesn’t see the irony into what I am getting across and that is I watched the show from Season 1 up to it’s just aired episode of Season 6 not just for Jisbon but I have waited for that for years and yet it;s coming up to it’s possible last Season with a 5 episode arc love interest for Lisbon and I’m suppose to be all well and dandy with that – – – I don’t think so and all that goes to the blame of the creators and writers for not making things happen any sooner into which it should have happened sooner rather then well not even now.
POINTLESS LOVE ARC that is just there once again like always to keep them apart from never been together. – I don’t want just a scene where they say they love each other and maybe a kiss..
I’m not going to get to know someone I’m interested in over 6 Years then all of a sudden say O by the way I’m in love with you let’s go on a date Stupid or what because t me that is for sure stupid..

If you think the show is so lame why do you watch it? Many of us DO NOT want this show cancelled because we love it. So please do not request that it be cancelled just don’t tune in and let those of us that love it keep watching.
