Fox boots ‘Enlisted’ from schedule before finale; sets dates for ‘Glee’ season 5, more

Enlisted -For those of us who love “Enlisted” and its positive, fun take on the military, this is very sad (albeit predictable news): Fox is looking to shelve the final episodes of its season in order to make way for Gordon Ramsay.

Starting on April 11, “Kitchen Nightmares” is going to start airing new episodes in the 9:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot, which takes away the position previously held by the comedy. The show will have an opportunity to air what will probably be its final episodes at a later date. This show unfortunately never really had a chance, given that it aired on a night that was notoriously bad for comedies, and against one of the few shows in “Shark Tank” that actually does very well on the night. Things have become even worse for it after it was placed on a night with the other low-rated series “Rake.” It would have been better to just “Bones” there, given that it was actually doing a pretty good job in the ratings without the competition.

Here are some of the official finale dates that Fox wants you to be aware of. Note that unless stated otherwise, all of these shows are airing at their normal time.

Friday, April 4 – “Raising Hope” (one-hour series finale)

Monday, April 28 – “The Following”

Tuesday, May 6 – “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” (which resumes it run next Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. Eastern)

Monday, May 12 – “Bones”

Tuesday, May 13 – “Glee”

Thursday, May 15 – “Surviving jack” (which is set to premiere this week after the “American Idol” results show)

Sunday, May 18 – “Bob’s Burgers,” “American Dad,” “The Simpsons,” and “Family Guy” (all from 7:00-9:00)

Tuesday, May 20 – “American Idol” performance finale

Wednesday, May 21 – “American Idol” finale results

Sunday, June 8 – “Cosmos”

The only real surprise of this bunch is that “Glee” is ending its run two weeks earlier than many predicted. What could this mean? It’s possible that there will be some double-episodes coming, since the order was originally announced for 22.
