‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 finale spoilers: Who will appear, and what will happen?
Tuesday night marks the end of “Pretty Little Liars” season 4, but definitely not the end of the series. As a matter of fact, it seems as though some of the powers that be have no intention of ending the show at this point next year, either.
Speaking to TVLine in a new interview to tease the finale, creator Marlene King suggests that she does not foresee season 5 being the end of the show, though she is still waiting on an official renewal for season 6 (which we are pretty sure will actually happen at some point). As for when she does want to end the show, she had the following to say:
“We want to go out with the show maintaining its integrity and staying smart, and so far, we feel we’re still accomplishing that goal. When it feels like we’re not doing that anymore, that’s when I think it’ll be time to pull the plug.”
As for what you will see specifically in the finale, King dropped the following teasers:
1. Melissa Hastings will return from London, and will appear both in flashbacks and in the present. Given that Torrey DeVitto is no longer on “Army Wives,” isn’t it possible we could be seeing more of her soon?
2. You are not going to find out who killed Ali per se in the finale, but you will at least learn who was responsible for “burying” her.
3. The story revolving around Emily and Paige’s relationship is important, but will not necessarily be a priority in the finale as the Liars have traveled out of Rosewood.
4. In some ways, the season 5 premiere will feel much like the second part of the finale. There is quite a bit of crossover.
5. While King wouldn’t say a character would for sure die, there are once again going to be people at risk.
We reported earlier in the week that Tyler Blackburn was going to be bringing his part of Caleb back for season 5, you can read a little bit more about that over at the link here. Also, sign up if you want to grab some more updates from us on everything we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
