ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: First look at Capt. Gates’ sister, more

“Castle” season 6 was on hiatus this week, and we know for most fans out there, that was a cause for sadness. When you have a fun episode coming up like “The Way of the Ninja,” is it too much to ask for having it right away? It takes a long span of time to make these episodes, and production has to catch up with the airdates from time to time.

What we have for you today are some of the first photos from “The Greater Good,” which is the new episode airing the week following the ninja-themed installment. We posted the official synopsis for this yesterday, but in case you missed it, we learned that Salli Richardson-Whitfield is going to be appearing as the sister to Captain Gates. The two don’t have the best relationship out there, and they could be forced to work together in a case following the death of a Wall Street player.

The photo above gives you the first real look at Richardson-Whitfield’s character. Hooray for more Lanie! Tamala Jones really hasn’t had enough to do ever since January, so hopefully this will be a way to help change that. So far this season, that big “Lanie-centric episode” (which was only really just a handful of scenes) is the biggest story that we have seen for the character.

On the surface, this episode looks like a pretty standard one, given that there are no clues in any of the promotional material suggesting that something larger is at play here. But who knows? We have been wrong before.
