ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion hit up Wall Street
While Castle and Beckett may take on some of the most-difficult murders in New York City on a pretty regular basis, they are now getting close to arriving at a place that could be described as metaphorical murder for a case: Wall Street. Let’s just say that this “Castle” episode should be a great one.
When we first heard about the title for the 19th episode of the season (airing a week from Monday following “The Way of the Ninja“) being “The Greater Good,” this was not the sort of title that was particularly easy to figure out. Was it a super-serious episode, or one that could be about something silly that we weren’t quite grasping? Instead, it seems to be about option three: A showcase for someone other than Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic (even if they still have a big role). Based on the synopsis below, it’s pretty safe to say that this one is going to revolve at least quite a bit around the Captain Gates character:
“Castle and Beckett investigate the murder of a Wall Street trader, but the case takes a shocking turn when the they discover the victim was an undercover informant for the U.S. Attorney’s office. To complicate matters further, the U.S. attorney involved is Elizabeth Weston (guest star Salli Richardson-Whitfield, “Eureka”), Captain Gates’ estranged sister.”
So basically, this is going to force Penny Johnson Jerald’s character to get involved with someone who she hasn’t spoken to in quite a long time. It’s nice to see her get some screen time, and that should make for exciting TV.
As for when we could see that Beckett – Senator Bracken story continue (given that was the cliffhanger we were recently left on), you have to consider the finale as a possibility … but that’s hardly a confirmation. Both it and the possible return of 3XK remain the show’s biggest current loose ends.
What do you think is going to happen on this big “Castle” episode? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and also head on over to the link here if you do want to get some more updates of what lies ahead.

ABC is notorious for waiting till the last minute to decide whether or not to renew. So getting any news in this vein will be something we will have to wait for, for a looooong time. Castle is ABC’s most-watched scripted show, so the chances of cancelation are virtually nil.
