‘The X Factor’ notes: Rough Copy, Alex & Sierra, and Olly Murs updates
Ready for the latest edition of “X Factor” notes? It’s been a little while since we’ve busted out one of these, but we’ve got enough stories from around the internet, and from stars of multiple versions of the show, to make the wait worthwhile.
Rough Copy drama on tour? – We’ll start with the biggest and perhaps the most surprising news that the band from this past season of the UK show is going to be continuing onward through the tour as a duo. Why? All we know is that Kazeem Ajobe was barred from continuing onward following something that happened at one of the dates.
Here is what a spokesperson for the tour said about the news, and the plans for the other two members of the group (mentored by Gary Barlow) to continue onward:
“Following an incident backstage, Rough Copy member Kazeem Ajobe has left the X Factor tour. The remaining Rough Copy members Sterling and Joey will continue to perform on the tour as a duo.”
Hopefully, this is something that Kaz can recover from, given how many times already that we have seen “X Factor” stars lately blow great opportunities given to them.
Alex & Sierra update – Basically, this is an update that continues along every other update that we have talked about recently with the duo. They are still hard at work on new music, but there is no real timetable yet. Just take a look at this Twitter post from them for evidence:
“Everyone realizes most artists take OVER a year to make an album right? we’ve had barely 2 months. be patient! we’re working hard :) love ya.”
As soon as there is something more in the way of news to share, we’ll of course be your source on it.
Finally, and Olly Murs update – While we don’t know if he’s going to be an “X Factor” judge soon, we can at least confirm that he’s working hard. Here is his post on Twitter:
“Hahaha thanks for worrying peeps! But nothing has happened to me.. You nutters! literally been locked in the studio last 24hrs! #Album4time“
