‘Suits’ season 3, episode 12 preview: Will Louis completely destroy Mike?
The “Suits” midseason premiere had quite a bit crammed into its hour-long runtime, whether you are talking about Scottie working to land Michael Phelps, Mike and Rachel deciding to move in together, and also a plan for Mike to confront a major adversary from his past.
For Thursday night’s episode “Yesterday’s Gone,” it is fair to say that Mike has a significant adversary to deal with in the present: Louis Litt. This is a guy who despite Donna’s best efforts, still did enough digging to realize that Mike’s Harvard education was a little fishy; now, he’s basically figured out all that he needs to in order to accuse the guy of being a complete and total fraud. As for what could happen as a result of that, you have to think along the lines of fireworks.
In the new promo below released by USA, you can see Louis making a pretty pointed threat to Mike that he is going to take him down and completely ruin his future all thanks to this stain on the firm’s reputation. The synopsis for the episode is a little more vague, but it suggests that we are going to see more than just Mike in need of a helping hand from someone else:
“Both Mike and Jessica lean on Harvey for support when things from their respective pasts throw them off their game.”
Whatever happens when it comes to this Louis story, one of the important things to remember here is that “Suits” is a little bit of a different show than many others. This six-episode run may as well be considered a separate season than what happened in the summer, and there is probably some pressure in order to ensure that the Louis plot at least has something a little closer to resolution by the time the finale rolls around. Otherwise, you are stuck waiting for answers until probably July.
